ZETA (Zero Emissions To Air) is an innovative certification scheme developed by EUROCERT S.A. It sets out the requirements for certifying industrial facilities that eliminate or minimize direct emissions to air.

The ZETA Certification Scheme provides a framework to:

• Achieve zero emissions into the air or comply with strict emission limits.
• Adopt advanced emission reduction technologies and monitoring systems.
• Ensure compliance with European and international environmental regulations.

The scheme aims to foster cleaner industrial operations and promote sustainable development by encouraging facilities to reduce their environmental impact. ZETA Certification is based on the principles of continuous improvement and alignment with best practices in emissions management.

ZETA certification is provided in two levels:

• Zero Emissions To Air – Emissions-free factory: The facility produces no emissions to the air. At this level, it is certified that the facility does not emit any emissions into the environment.

• Zero Emissions To Air – Emissions-compliant factory: The facility produces emissions into the air, but is compliant with all applicable legislation limits related to the emissions into the air.

ZETA Certification applies to organizations and facilities involved in thermal and other industrial processes that generate emissions to the air. Eligible sectors include:
• Food Processing
• Metal Production and Processing
• Chemical Manufacturing
• Cement and Construction Products
• Refineries
• Pulp and Paper Production

The scheme is particularly suited to facilities that:
• Seek to demonstrate leadership in environmental performance.
• Aim to comply with or exceed legal requirements for air emissions.
• Commit to the implementation of innovative technologies for emissions reduction.

Excluded activities:
• Service activities without significant thermal processes (e.g., consulting, facility management).
• Plants that do not generate emissions to air.
